About the Art
A love letter to Southeast Alaska, this cheerful watercolor celebrates a rainy-day staple: the Xtra Tuff boot. Affectionately dubbed “Sitka slippers,” these iconic brown boots are worn by fishermen, artists, and kids alike—and are as common in grocery store aisles as they are on fishing docks. Framed by florals, the painting balances utility with whimsy in true Alaskan spirit.
